Elise Anderson

Elise Anderson is a researcher and policy analyst who is passionate about issues that impact children and families, especially access to high-quality, affordable child care. She is also a writer whose work has been published in Early Learning Nation.

She graduated from the Department of Urban Policy and Planning at Hunter College in 2023, where she earned her M.S. in Urban Policy and Leadership with a concentration in Education Policy. Her senior thesis analyzed New York City’s universal pre-K program and unpacked its utilization rates and barriers to access.

Elise is the former Director of Communications at Vote Mama Foundation, the leading source of research and analysis about the political participation of mothers. She also has extensive experience in political and government roles, and previously served as a congressional press secretary and campaign manager. She is a longtime New York City resident and currently lives in Brooklyn.
