September 17 | Madison, Indiana: Roundtable & Town Hall—Common Good Lab on Tour
In partnership with the Bethany Legacy Foundation, Capita will bring the Common Good Lab on Tour to Madison for a day of dialogue and civic engagement. A morning roundtable will convene local leaders and policymakers for a focused discussion, followed by a public town hall that brings together citizens, elected officials, philanthropists, and business leaders to explore belonging, polarization, and what a renewed politics rooted in the common good could look like. September 22, 09:30 AM | New York, New York: Intentional Futures: Navigating Disruption, Seizing Opportunities
What if education systems could harness disruption to shape positive outcomes? The forces reshaping education, work, and health aren’t waiting for systems to catch up. This interactive workshop challenges participants to look beyond today’s pressures, explore radically different futures and identify choices they can make now to shape better ones. Through scenarios, futures thinking activities and sensemaking, participants will surface assumptions, spot emerging opportunities and explore strategies for navigating disruption. Join Joscha Wirtz for a practical, nontechnical introduction to me.md, a tool designed to help people engage with AI in ways that reflect their values, priorities, and lived perspectives. With support from the Buell Foundation and Gary Community Ventures, this peer learning gathering will explore Colorado’s approach to building family-focused systems through site visits, dialogue, and cross-state exchange. Think Beyond is Capita’s immersive leadership retreat, designed to create space for participants to step away from the urgency of daily demands and reflect more deeply on the systems, stories, and assumptions shaping their work. August 25, 12:00 PM | Virtual Gathering: Recoloring the Stories that Shape Renewal
An interactive exploration of how the structures of our institutions shape the stories through which we understand the world—and how those stories, in turn, shape what we build. Drawing on the Institute for the Future’s Systems Mythology framework, this session invited participants to surface the often-unseen assumptions embedded in our systems and to consider how they might be reimagined in service of renewal, resilience, and collective flourishing.
